WasserPompe licence agreement

You accept this agreement when you buy a licence and when you install WasserPompe.

Please read this agreement carefully. By clicking "I accept" during installation, or by installing or using WasserPompe, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use WasserPompe.

1. DEFINITIONS
"Author" means Anthony Huang, the owner of WasserPompe. "Software" means the WasserPompe program, its user manual, example files and any updates and new versions. "You" means the person or organisation that installs or uses the Software. "Licence key" means the key issued by the Author that activates the Software.

2. LICENCE
2.1 Subject to payment of the applicable fee and these terms, the Author grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software for the period stated in your licence key.
2.2 Each licence key is issued for one computer, identified by the Computer ID shown in the Software, unless the Author states otherwise in writing.
2.3 Licences run for one year. A subscription renews automatically each year until you cancel it; a new licence key for the next year is emailed when the renewal payment is made. When the period ends without renewal, the Software stops working until a renewal key is entered. Reports and project files you created remain yours.
2.4 Your subscription includes all updates and new versions while it is active. New versions are not a paid upgrade. They work with the licence you already hold, or with the renewal key sent when your subscription renews.

3. RESTRICTIONS
You must not:
(a) copy, share, sell, rent, lend or otherwise distribute the Software or any licence key, except one backup copy for your own use;
(b) use a licence key on a computer other than the one it was issued for;
(c) reverse engineer, decompile, decode, modify or create derivative works of the Software, or attempt to do so, except where the law expressly allows it;
(d) remove, bypass or interfere with the licence check, the date check or any notice of ownership; or
(e) change the computer's date or time to extend a licence.

4. OWNERSHIP
The Software is licensed, not sold. The Author owns all rights, title and intellectual property in the Software. Design reports, calculations and project files that you produce with the Software belong to you.

5. DISCLAIMER
WasserPompe is a design aid. Results depend on the data entered and on the simplified methods and typical criteria used by the program. All results must be checked and verified by a qualified design engineer, who remains responsible for the final design. To the extent permitted by law, the author accepts no liability for any loss arising from the use of this software.

6. NO WARRANTY
To the extent permitted by law, the Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or freedom from errors. The Author does not warrant that the Software will meet your requirements or the requirements of any authority, guideline or standard.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, the Author is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of data, project delay or the cost of design rework, arising from the use of or inability to use the Software. In any case, the Author's total liability is limited to the licence fee you paid for the current licence period.

8. TERMINATION
This licence ends automatically if you breach any of its terms. On termination you must stop using the Software and remove it from your computers. Sections 4 to 7 continue after termination.

9. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
The Software includes TweetNaCl (public domain) for licence keys and an installer built with NSIS (zlib licence). These components remain under their own licences.

10. GENERAL
This agreement is governed by the laws of Malaysia. If any part of it is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. This agreement is the entire agreement between you and the Author about the Software.
